| Investing in People, Business and Community (July 2010) - At the 2010 Economic Development Forum held June 26 in Ormond Beach, city and chamber of commerce officials came together to discuss their initiatives and highlight success stories. Hudson Technologies, a business of JSJ, was recognized at the Forum as a company that is investing in the community by improving and expanding its business. | Titanium Medical Device Components Featured (January 2010) - Two components manufactured by Hudson Technologies appear on the cover of MEDICAL DEVICE AND DIAGNOSTIC INDUSTRY magazine. The January 2010 MD+DI article features two components manufactured for Terumo Heart, Inc., a medical device subsidiary of Terumo Corp. The two titanium parts Hudson Technologies makes are components in Terumo's left ventricular assist system (LVAS). | Hudson Technologies Tops Volusia Manufacturers Association Awards in 2009 - Director of Supply Chain Managment Roy Braddy named Member of the Year - - Wellness and Go Green Best Practice Awards - (October 5, 2009) - Three awards will be presented to Hudson Technologies by the Volusia Manufacturers Association (VMA) at the group's 29th Annual Awards Banquet on October 22 in Daytona Beach, Florida - two Best Practices awards and Member of the Year. This year for the first time there will be two Best Practices awards in new categories. Hudson Technologies is the winner of Best Practices for Going Green, completing a two-year, $2 million conversion of its 115,000 square-foot facility, promoting an environmentally-sound, aqueous cleaning system. Hudson Technologies converted to greener lubricants as part of its new cleaning operation. No hazardous waste is produced by its manufacturing process. Jayne Fifer, President/CEO of the VMA said, “Hudson Technologies worked hard to eliminate trichloroethylene which is an ozone depleting solvent, making strides to make their work environment safe for their employees, to make the community cleaner, and overall to make a better impact for our world.” The second Best Practices award goes to Hudson Technologies for its Wellness Program. Hudson Technologies identified the need and benefits for wellness for its 200 employees and worked hard to implement incentives to promote wellness. "Hudson Technologies was committed to implementation and reviews their policy for effectiveness of process measures and outcome measures," said Fifer. "VMA recognizes Hudson Technologies for ensuring that they not only make great product, but that they keep their employees healthy, too." The Member of the Year award is presented to the VMA Member who has contributed the most to the growth of the VMA and manufacturing in general in Volusia and Flagler counties. The 2009 winner of the VMA Karl Schiller Member of the Year Award is Roy Braddy of Hudson Technologies. Braddy is a VMA Board Member, heading the Materials Division. In this role he brought in speakers to discuss current inventory and purchasing topics or issues and regulations to give the members a forum to expand their knowledge and to help the members support each other. "It was his dream to develop the Materials Division, and he has worked relentlessly to build it into the viable group it is now, by supporting with increased programming for the materials, purchasing, buyers/planners and order placer members," said Fifer.
